Unidentified Flying Objects
January 2, 2011As part of a contest on one of my sites, we had a UFO contest with a goal of making the most realistic UFO image. These were my submissions.
Chicago, Illinois
The source image for this modification was taken off of the Sky Deck of the Willis Tower (Sears Tower), later modified with an Old Photo filter, which adds a sephia effect, defocuses, and feathers the edges. In the picture, you can see a UFO, giving a 1950's feel to the image.
Jumpertown, Mississippi
The source for this image was a full-color image of the sky in Mississippi, later modified as grayscale, this image appears as a 1930's point-and-shoot image with film grain and a silhouette of a UFO.
Nevada
This image was originally taken somewhere in Nevada while I was taking the Amtrak Zephyr to California. The image features a collection of small dots in the sky of UFOs, and a CGI alien. To bring out the darker colors of the image, it was value inverted, "sparkled", then re-inverted, then slightly blurred before adding a border to it.
